We absolutely love seeing weddings where there’s so much collaboration between the bride, stylist, and floral designer — and this is just one of those weddings. Daniela and Pedro worked together carrying out endless DIY projects, Ivory & Beau coordinated everything to perfection, and the floral arrangements from Urban Poppy are totally enviable! Thank you Izzy Hudgins Photography for capturing this wedding day so beautifully.

From the bride, Daniela: We wanted our guests and everyone that looks at our wedding photos to think it was a styled photo shoot. We wanted it to feel elegant but not over the top, with fun, whimsical and vintage retro details. Every detail and the location of every accessory was carefully thought of. I envisioned a fairy tale wedding, and the Savannah scenery was the perfect spot for it and the landscapes lent themselves for that; with just the right amount of sparkle, greenery, florals and retro vintage details that reminded me of my grandmothers house as I was growing up.

We used a lot of pastel colors. Specially blush or light pink with ivory and golds. we made and printed at home the Burlap Save the Dates. Designed the wedding invitations and had them printed professionally. We designed and made the groomsmen wood boutonnieres (laser cut by Eric from Creative-laser in Savannah). The groom made the lit up DJ booth and the linen-less wood cocktail tables, and the large Marquee letters in the cake display. Made ribbon wands, vintage napkin holders and signage for ceremony; We had the crochet overlays for the cocktail hour tables custom made. We made the hanging light orbs in reception, photo booth backdrop, all selfie station and welcome table signage, guestbook, engagement photo display on a re-purposed fireplace mantel. All hand lettered signs in ceremony, seating chart, meal cards, table name signage. We refinished and re purposed all crates and wooden spools used in the cake display. The groom and I had 13 months to collect all accessories used through out, vases, bottles, vintage pieces, candle holders, the cake and dessert stands.

Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? My advice is to not stress or overthink every detail. Have wedding coordinators or planners at least for the Day Of. At the end it will all turn out just fine. Also take a moment for yourself. The whole process can become pretty stressful at one point. Try not to let it get to you. The day of or the day before (if you have time), take a break relax on a spa day or something. I wish I had done it. I really needed it and did not have time for it. The day of the wedding take a moment to sit back, take a deep breath and enjoy the moment as the wedding goes by in a blink of an eye.
