Fresh Palm Springs Wedding

As soon as we saw this Palm Springs wedding from Katie Scott of SWOON by Katie, we instantly fell in love with its bright colors and fresh decor. With an all-star team of vendors including Carter and Cook Event Design and Modern Bouquet at Palm Springs’ Viceroy Hotel, how could this wedding deliver anything less than pure beauty?

From the bride, Jaymi: I like to call our wedding style Anthropologie with a touch of Z Gallerie. I scheduled several venue appointments out in Palm Springs for the next weekend and I took my mom. once we got to Viceroy, I just knew it was the place! I got that bridal feeling that I had not had at any other venue. Cute, quaint, romantic, a garden setting, outdoors, it couldn’t have been more perfect. I called Will and told him… I think it’s the one. I set up another appointment to bring him back the following weekend, and together we fell in love!

The colors of our wedding were pink and yellows with a touch of teal (all I wanted was peonies and what I like to call “fluffy flowers”). Our wedding was different; we did several non traditional things, guests told me that it was the most touching ceremony they had been to. Very heartfelt and very spiritual. The wedding really represented us as a couple– fun, romantic, and kind of crazy.

Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Don’t let the details, the family, and the coordinating make you crazy, remember all the beautiful reasons you are getting married in the first place. The day of the wedding you just need to release everything and let your coordinators take over — if there are any bumps in the day just remember that everything happens for a reason and just embrace it, what’s meant to be will be.
