Whimsical wooden elements, a wedding venue that is absolutely to die for, and packed punches of jewel-toned reds make up the images from the Fred Meyer Jewelers Fall Bridal Catalog. With fall weather heading our way, this strikingly pin-worthy inspiration from Fred Meyer Jewelers is absolutely darling. Sticking to the season, Emerald Petals played upon the location and capitalized on the winery’s traditional look and created overflowing centerpieces with lovely white and green detail set atop gold urns. To add to the tablescape, a simple runner of foliage topped the look off and gave everything that autumnal feel. We love summer just as much as the next person, but there’s something about fall that we can’t help but adore!
Liana Huserik, Creative Manager at Fred Meyer Jewelers, gave us an inside look at how this autumnal wedding inspiration came together: Inspiration for this modern fairytale came from the combination of contrasting elements – geometric, industrial, urban elements meet with natural, soft, whimsical details in this stunning photo shoot.
Portland’s urban winery, Coopers Hall, was the perfect contrast to the wedding’s fanciful décor. Stacks of wine barrels, a ceiling full of fairy lights and a modern seating area gave the space natural vignettes for fun photo ops. We contrasted the winery’s contemporary architecture with whimsical wildflower bouquets, gold accents, woodcut coasters and soft candle lighting. For colors, we used unique, autumnal colors — spiceberry, blue umbra, winter sage, and Florentine gold. Pick your colors like a pro by browsing color palette websites like Design Seeds or Adobe Color. Choose a base you like and instantly get a full palette of perfectly coordinating colors.
A fluttering, paper backdrop gave bare walls extra texture and helped define the space to feel more intimate. This popular DIY is a great way to give open spaces a dramatic feel without overspending! Find out how to make your own in just five easy steps.
These ethereal gowns were designed by Michelle DeCourcy, a Portland boutique designer known for statement and alternative wedding dresses. Each gown expresses modern elegance in their unique details – tulle overlays on an off-white skirt, floral appliqués, flowing empire silhouettes, and a lacy racer-back. Simple color pops like a magenta ribbon in the bouquet, bold lipstick and a smoky eye tied the look to our palette.
Elegant bridal jewelry rounded out the look by giving the bride a modern, metallic touch – a diamond solitaire pendant and matching earrings, delicate gold bangles and a spectacular wedding set. Named for the circle of light surrounding celestial bodies, the radiance of a halo engagement ring is unmatched. Accompanied by a brilliant pavé wedding band, this timeless, vintage-inspired wedding set perfectly reflected the whimsical mood of the wedding.
For the groom, we wanted to put a twist on the traditional black tie with a handsome, navy suit. The dark material kept the suit looking formal and classic, but the navy color allowed him stand out from the crowd. Just like the bride, colorful accessories like a vibrant bowtie, wild rose boutonniere, polka dot socks and brown dress shoes round out the look.
A pair of steel cuff links or a sharp-looking dress watch can add a debonair touch to your groom’s attire, but the wedding band is the real show-stopper. These days, grooms are upgrading their classic, gold bands to diamond-studded masterpieces and the changes don’t stop there. Alternative metals like titanium, cobalt, steel and tungsten are becoming more popular among today’s grooms. Many of these unique metals offer a more contemporary look and are more durable than traditional gold – perfect for the modern gentleman in your life. Check out Fred Meyer Jewelers metal guide to learn more about these metals’ characteristics.
