Entry #15: Diamond Bridal Shower

Christy G. made these giant sized engagement rings for her sister’s bridal shower!

DIY Diamond Engagement Ring Decor

I am in charge of my sisters wedding and of course her wedding shower. Since she is such a unique bride I really wanted to find a unique idea for not only her wedding but her showers as well. I chose to do a “BLING” shower. I used orange and pink for the colors. One of the fun things I made for the shower were gigantic wedding rings made from embroidery hoops and faucet handles (those seventies style ones). They turned out really cute and when used for decoration (hung from chandelier) they really added some bling :) Not to mention easy to do.

Simply tighten the embroidery hoop at the top and use wire cutters to trim down the top screw so it fits easily into the bottom of the faucet handle. To ensure it all sticks together use hot glue and fill in the space in between. I used fishing wire to hang them up.
