Emma + Cameron’s Oregon Countryside Wedding

Loving this colorful wedding shot by the talented Oregon photographer Carl from Carl Zoch Photography!

A little bit from the bride, Emma:

We fell in love with the site at Garden Vineyards the very first time we saw it–even in the middle of December in the pouring rain. The old wooden train tressle at the road’s entry was also an incentive to go with the site–it’s just so cool! Our family and friends were coming from all over the country, so we thought Oregon’s countryside would be a special place, and it is just 20 miles from our Portland home.

The ceremony and reception were both held outdoors at the vineyard. The weather was dramatic but magical: on and off rain with bursts of sunshine and even a rainbow. A bagpipe piped us down the isle, a family friend was our officiant, and Cameron and I surprised each other with personal vows. We had a ring pillow made out of my great-great grandmother’s wedding dress, I made custom gold and freshwater pearl necklaces and earrings for my bridesmaids, and there were many other personal touches such as my grandmother’s wedding band and my late sister’s childhood doll necklace tucked into my bouquet that made the day true to us.

The flowers were by Liza Lubell and Heather Hollern of Quince Flowers–very very talented gals! Our wedding cake was made by a friend (my mom’s carrot cake with cream cheese frosting). My dress, Cameron’s suit and the bridesmaids all wore J Crew. I wore a vintage 1930’s headpiece and veil that I found from Paris 1900 in Los Angeles.

  • Love this! And, erm, by the way, I apologize for any begrudgingness that looked grumpy on my previous comment 😀 — it was supposed to be more of a “Hey, this is a truly delightful surprise!” Really, you are fantastic — all of your content is so fresh + I haven’t seen it anywhere else, that’s so spectacular :)! Keep up the fabulous work + best wishes :)!!

  • Emma! What a beautiful bride you were…that Cameron is one lucky bloke! Beautiful photos…loved the pearls in your hair.

  • Wow, what a beautiful couple!

But, to be honest, I came here to gain an idea of the general Oregon country side….haha…so grrrrrreat backdrops!

    😀

And, great editing. It really embellished the pictures, to make them seem more vivid, in a fine way.
