Eco-Friendly Garter Giveaway Bonanza
Julianne Smith just launched her eco-friendly garter collection a few weeks ago. The ribbon is woven using yarn made from 100% post consumer polyester, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. She sent me these 4 styles and they are incredibly soft, I could never tell the material is made from recycled plastic bottles.

It’s hard to choose, but I have always been partial to green, and that shade of it reminds me of an old-fashioned country bride’s dowry. :)

I love the grey and white garter! And it’s tough creating a diy & green wedding without killing the budget! So, every little bit helps tremendously. And, naturally, the colors match the pretty 50′s themed wedding I hope to have :) It would be a great Christmas gift, because we’re forgoing Christmas gifts to work on this wedding–but better yet, a birthday gift! This is a tough one. I love the grey and white garter, but I also love the one that has a touch of blue.
While I love the blue and would have picked it last week, I’d go with the pewter/grey garter for our wedding. My fiance has decided he wants to wear his charcoal pinstripe suit which clashes desperately with the blues we had intended to use (including the dresses we were supposed to order on Friday – AH!!!) so now grey is making a strong comeback into our color palette. Oh, the things we do for love. = )

The blue and tan hands down for me – it’s so truly vintage chic! The perfect marriage (pun intended) of sexy style and timeless classic with a modern twist! My mother actually wore a similar grosgrain garter for her wedding and we had hoped that it could be my “something borrowed” but alas she just retired and moved and it was lost in the shuffle of the move :( However, this would be the perfect replacement for that lost garter – I would love for this to be my something blue and it would work so well with my color palette of muted tones and super vintage vibe.

I really love the blue one. I think it would go with so many different themes. For my wedding, which is 1920′s themes, I would have to say the the green one would go best since I plan to incorporate feathers into some of the elements, so the green would go with the peacock feathers.
