DIY Virginia Wedding II

It’s time for a detail parade! Check out all the adorable details from Lindsay and Ben’s backyard wedding by Heather España.

From Lindsay:

I guess the vibe we were going for was elegant, antique, vintage with a touch of whimsy. I even wore my Grandmother’s old costume jewelry. We spent hours scouring thrift shops, used bookstores, and craft stores. I didn’t want anything to match too much. I’m not a matchy kind of person. So, from that came the mismatched china…for 165 people! That may have gone a little overboard. I have every kind of vase, jar, teapot, candle holder, and clock you can imagine. We wanted every table centerpiece to be different. I now have a house full of cool treasures. I highly recommend buying things you can use again. We also did lots of crafting projects. We made napkin rings from pvc pipe and vintage fabric. I sewed flowers on the little girls ballet flats to match their tutu’s. I made boutonniere’s out of buttons and feathers and instead of corsages we made broaches. We made chalkboards galore! The list goes on and on.
