Crochet and Aqua Inspiration

Being left-handed, I’ve always secretly envied those who knew how to crochet. These small works of art were styled to perfection in this inspiration shoot created by Studio Finch and Ipomea Floral. The shades of whites combined with aqua and blush are the perfect pops of color for this texture rich tablescape:

From Studio Finch: We always love the warm fuzzy feeling from visiting our grandma’s house. The doily idea taken from that soft warm feeling we wanted to incorporate a modern take with these vintage pieces. Ipomea Floral set out the idea of painting old bird cage decor elements and we paired them with modern Jonathan Adler bird salt-n-pepper shakers. They complimented the light and airy setting with the florals and glitter perfectly. The short doily inspired reception dress from BHLDN paired perfectly with the doily covered wall, which translated into the soft whimsical feel on the cake from Lovely- Bake Shop. The tulle in her long wedding dress further brought us in- each flower was carefully chosen for the shoot to complement the soft femininity of the bride with Peonies and Ranunculuses along with the King Protea and white Orchids complimenting the strong modern bits from the shoot. The Happ & Stahns perfume blended in with the florals.

To compliment the pale blue pink and antiqued cream, we added touches of gold and glitter sparkle to add a polished pop to the softness in the space.
