Is there a more summery color palette than yellow and pink with pops of aqua? I think not. The bride, Jennifer, designed and handmade all the little details herself – including refurbishing the vintage dresser used as the dessert table. Photographer Melissa Brandman captured their wedding day and all the pretty details for us to gawk over.
From the photographer, Melissa Brandman: Jennifer, her family and friends worked tirelessly to create this sweet vintage backyard wedding. Inspired by a color palette including barn red, robin’s egg blue and butter yellow, the bride and her family designed and hand crafted every last detail, incorporating vintage furniture, Etsy finds, and lots of sewing! Their DIY efforts kept costs down and only added to the charm of this backyard fete. Jennifer and Elliott were determined to keep their wedding focused on the family and friends there to celebrate their day: they wrote a letter of love and gratitude to their guests using a vintage slat chalkboard that was placed near the ceremony site. And as a fun twist, after dinner guests were treated to the 80s cover band The Reflexx – a favorite of the bride and groom.
