Backyard Tennessee Wedding

This sweet wedding shot by Natalie and Dan of Watson-Studios makes my heart skip a beat. Bailee and Reggie had the most adorable Southern wedding on Bailee’s parents’ farm. The details of their wedding were to die for – like the vintage fabric handkerchiefs for the groomsmen and A&W Root Beer floats with classic matching mugs!

From the bride: My husband and I thought my parents’ farm was the perfect place for our reception; we both felt that my lifelong church was perfect for the wedding ceremony and both places would give us the freedom to do anything we wanted.

The first purchase we made after the engagement was my wedding gown. My mother and I found it at an antique store located about 2 minutes away from our home and we originally thought it was a tablecloth! We quickly realized it was not a tablecloth at all, but a beautiful 1940’s wedding gown and it fit me perfectly!

There were certain things I knew I wanted from the very beginning, like ice cream and apple pie instead of the traditional wedding cake, and homemade strawberry jam as guest’s favors and then there were other things just happened like the color palette of blues and pinks, and those unplanned things are some of the most special.

We had tons of DIY projects and all of my girlfriends would come over to the house and help me with constantly. I made all of the groomsmen handkerchiefs out of vintage cloth and they were all different.  We made all of our centerpieces and anything else that we could do ourselves.

  • This wedding is PERFECT! It’s very similar to what I am planning at my parent’s farm in two years. We’re going to have strawberry shortcake, root beer floats as well, and tons of vintage picnic details to make it a laidback beautiful event to remember for a lifetime.

I get so excited when I see weddings like this, especially when done in a shorter time frame than we have, because it makes me know we will get it all done and it will be beautiful!

  • That dress really is incredible! We at Say Yes! in Memphis love to see what our Tennessee neighbors are doing. I also linked to this great blog on our facebook page.

  • I love this wedding! We are searching for an amazing photographer in Indiana- I wish this was from there! Amazing!

  • I figured out that the shoes are by a company called Michael Antonio, but I don’t know the style. So far, I haven’t found them online anywhere. If anyone does–PLEASE come back here and leave a link. I REALLY REALLY would like to have them for my wedding!

  • oh my goodness, thank you for posting about the shoe designer…I was on the hunt for these as well! I will look too and let you know if I find anything 🙂

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Natalie.

My daughter will be THRILLED if she can get a pair of these shoes to go with her insanely beautiful wedding gown~

  • Hey y’all….

I found these shoes at Off Broadway Shoe Stores. They are not by Michael Kors—-they are actually by Michael Shannon. The style is Lolita, the color is royal blue and the cost is $39.99

If any of you wear a size 8, I have a pair for sale ( I bought two sizes for my daughter—this is the one she doesn’t need).I just want the cost of the shoes, plus the tax and shipping to wherever you are. You can reach me at hollybee778@aim.com
