Abby + Kurt's Vintage Valentine's Day Wedding

Here’s a fun Valentine’s Day wedding, shot by Katherine O’Brien. Abby and Kurt got married at the Barr Mansion, a gorgeous venue in Austin, Texas. Vintage Valentine’s Day cards were used as their escort cards, hung from a clothes line and secured with clothes pins. They even had a friend show up dressed as cupid, fully prepared with a bow and arrow. Abby had the guitarist change from “Here Comes the Bride” to “Here Comes the Sun” as she was walking down the aisle, a nice surprise for guests. Thanks Abby for sharing your day with us, we wish you and Kurt a lifetime of happiness!

Below is a wise man (from a nativity set) that’s half lifesize and my family has used it to prank each other for a long time (like, they’d leave it in the shower so you pull back the curtain and there’s an almost-human sized wise man there so you jump.) He made a surprise appearance at my wedding. :)

I can’t wait to see more! And I’ve only seen a little part of the bride’s dress and flowers and I’m dying – gorgeous!

I giggled at the wise man, how fun! Makes me wish I still had this teal puffball my sister and I spent a summer hiding for each other. But yes, need to see more – that sneak corner of her dress is gorgeous and I’m so curious what the rest looks like! And CUTE shoes…how’d they get the dragonfly in the heel?
