It’s all smiles with this fun Fort Lauderdale Beach wedding captured by Elaine Palladino Photography. This adorable bride and groom celebrated their cultures (American and South African) with lots of color and DIY details. They wanted their special day to be a party for everyone, and by the looks of these awesome photos, I’d say it was a success!

From the bride, Bre: We really wanted to show our guests what we are all about. This party was for them, not for us. We love bright colors, lights, laughter and fun. Our wedding had every color under the sun. My family called it Parrot Paradise, we called it One Love.

This Chicago wedding shoot photographed by Christy Tyler Photography and styled by Ellen at An Urban Affair is oh so romantic. Blush pinks and cool grays set the tone for the decor and paper goods, while pops of yellow beautifully brighten up the florals. The bride’s lace dress is pretty lovely too.

We had a vision for a simple, romantic, wedding with hues of blush/rose, gray, and bits of dark green olive branches to tie it all together. The stationery pieces from Ribbons & Bluebird really tied together the romantic, pink watercolor we were going for, with bits of embossing to give it a touch of class.

We wanted it all to feel current and a bit modern, yet to still have touches of vintage pieces to keep it feeling warm and cozy – like the beautiful pieces from Chicago Vintage Wedding we used for the tablescapes, including gold-edged plates, vintage glasses & flatware, and the pink & gray depressed glass that we scattered big blooms in from Larkspur Chicago for the centerpieces. Then we juxtaposed that with the modern gray linens, a simple and stunning cake from Elysia Root Cakes, and the clean lines of a ballet studio as the background.

The bride’s lace dress from Alice Padrul was the perfectly sleek and beautiful gown we were looking for to compliment everything else and allow the bride’s own beauty to shine through, with the help of Debra Petrielli who gave her clean/simple makeup and a gorgeous loose-curl updo accented with a feather hairpiece from Erin Lindsay Designs. The groom’s slim-fit navy suit with a grey wool tie completed the look.

Of course our real-life, crazy-in-love couple helped us achieve the romantic feel we were going for by being totally adorable in their own right!
