Candy Shop
Gumballs, taffy, and M&M’s make a perfectly sweet display!Hi all, long time no see. I just returned from my best friend Lacey’s wedding in Yakima, WA and boy was it fun. Lacey looked darling, the groom was a gem and everyone danced the night away. I thought I’d share one of the fun elements she tied in to add a hint of whimsy to the reception – a candy table.
Lacey’s colors were bright green and hot pink! She included her color scheme in the bridesmaid dresses, invitations, and the cakes! But I think the best usage was in the candy table and this is totally a vintage-able idea. Lacey used classic candies like giant gumballs, salt water taffy, and my personal favorite, squishy sugar frogs, but if you really wanted to step it up a retro notch there are all kinds of throwback sweets you can purchase like…
Black swirls of licorice
Colorful gumdrops

Think vintage candy shop, like Lacey, and display the goodies in large clear glass containers. At the wedding on Friday I don’t know who was more excited to hit the candy bar, all the nieces and nephews or the adults! Plus, it makes a perfect treat to take home as a favor. Lacey had small boxes labeled with the couples names for guests to fill and take on their way out.
But nothing was sweeter than the site of my best friend and her handsome new husband in love
