I am so excited to relaunch the blog with a fresh look for 2009! A huge thanks to Rhonna Farrer, who designed my fabulous new header and background image. Check out her digital work – she also has amazing blog header designs. Also many thanks to my darling husband who helped me with coding for the behind the scenes structure.

You can easily navigate the blog by browsing the top toolbar, where you can find freebies, blog links and the classifieds page. Another fun thing is the author’s image next to each post title. All guest brides also have their own avatar, so you can quickly recognize us.

Now, the best part: Flea Market classifieds!

What is it: Free local wedding classifieds. You can browse by state and by city. There are no fees, and there is no subscription required. Users also have the option to state whether their items can be shipped or are available for pick up as well.

Why: to help brides cut their wedding costs, newlyweds recoup some of their wedding budget, and to get in the spirit of recycling, reusing and reducing.

How it works: choose your category, your area then start describing what you’re selling. It will ask you if you’re willing to will internationally, ship to the U.S only or if it’s only available for pick up (great for heavy or fragile items such as vases). You can upload up to 4 pictures no larger than 600×600pixels. There is also the option to publish your email address to the public or let users email you through a contact form that is visible on your ad page (recommended). This option keeps your email address anonymous.

There is also a category where brides can exchange a helping hand, such as offering wedding day help to set up ceremony and reception decor. Vendors trying to break in the industry are allowed to post free offers to expand their portfolios and gain experience. This is great for new Wedding Planners, Photographers, DJ’s, Videographers, Florists… everyone is welcome! I’m also offering super low rates for advertising on the Flea Market page only – space is limited to up to 10 advertisers, please contact me for more info.

For now I only offer to all areas in the United States and one overall link to Canada, but I will be expanding to specific Canadian areas as well as to other countries as demand increases. And as always, I’m always open for suggestions and/or feedback. Email me or leave me a comment here if you have any questions.

So folks, get posting!
